HEY GUYS!!!
I've gotten quite a lot of requests from a few of my readers to write about this and although it's very easy to just sit here and write my opinions and thoughts about it, i'd also like to analyse it properly because its a topic i actually don't get and probably won't be able to come to a conclusion at the end, or maybe i will- which is why it's taken me a while to write it.
So where do i start from?
Let me start with a definition of the word "human"- according to one of my dictionaries, it means "Subject to or indicative of the weaknesses, imperfections, and fragility" therefore a human BEING is a person that has weaknesses, imperfections, and some times we can find ourselves vulnerable at certain times.
And so if this is the case, i am completely clueless as to how a human being can look at another human being and point fingers. I think one thing we always forget is that when we point one finger, there's three pointing back at you.
So my question at this point in time is "who died and made you God?" since when do you have the right to make a judgement about someone else? Do you not have flaws? It's sad because those who judge the most are the people who forget to look at themselves in the mirror. Would you like to know why even though you're "perfect" some people just don't like you? It's cos...wait for it...you have IMPERFECTIONS!! And gues what?you probably have more than the person you're judging.
What shames me even more is it happens within the "godly" people. Wow, we are QUICK to judge. For example, christians, it saddens me that we know and quote every scripture in the bible for we tend to skip the ones that say "judge not lest you be judged" (Matthew 7:1) or "we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). It's very easy to tell someone they have just stolen someone's wallet and they're gonna go to hell but you told your boss yesterday that you were ill and couldn't come in to work or you told your tutor that you left your homework at home- isn't that a sin too?
There's this thing i do, no matter what i hear about someone, i always want to hear from that person first. It's not because i like gossip, it's because i understand what it feels like to be wrong or wrongly accused and whilst everyone is talking and telling you you're gonna pay for it, it's nice to have someone ask you for your side of the story- it may not do much but it does go a long way, there's no point making your own conclusions and judgements because in the end, when YOU make your own mistake- it won't go down easy for you.
we are ALL human beings, we ALL have imperfections, we ALL make mistakes and we ALL have pasts- it's unfortunate but that's life, then again it depends how you see it. I take my imperfections and my flaws and my past and work on them and make sure my future is great.
I'm not the richest person in the world, but i'm lucky to have friends who are non-judgemental and are FRIENDS. In my opinion, that's all a human being could ask for in the generation and generations coming after us.
So check yourself before you notice someone else because a lot of the time, what's inside YOU is what needs to be corrected and worked on.
TILL NEXT TIME!!
xx
