The Wendy Lopez Interviews- Volume II

As the company van approached the estate, Wendy continued to stare at the piece of paper the handsome guy from her last interview had given her. She tore it up when she got home that night because she just could not imagine the level of cockiness Emery Grass was boiled in at birth however after thinking about it; she put the pieces back together with cello tape...

"Ms. Lopez, we're here" the driver's baritone voice with the halt of the breaks and interrupted her thoughts

She looked up at the sight that stood in front of her and gasped silently

"This is T.G's house?" she gawped

"Yes ma'am" he answered

The house stood at the end of the estate and formed the sanctuary or dead end of the road, depending on how you wanted to see it. Although the bronze polished gates had the number 32 on it, it looked like it should be another entity of its own. She made a mental note to ask if it had its own postcode. Taiwo Greyworth was the city's best accountant however she had just written a book called "Karma- Bitch Toh Badt"

"I have called the studio, we're on time. We have 45mins for makeup and set up"

"Thank you, Ray"

................................................................................40 MINUTES LATER.........................................................................................

"Five minutes,ma'am" Ray reminded Wendy and Taiwo who was already sat next to her. She was majestic in her aura and eloquent in her speech, Wendy thought. It would be awkward and extremely silly to bring up the postcode issue

"I'm ready when you are,Ray" she answered as she adjusted her outfit again. She took another look at Taiwo's crimson pencil fitted dress, it looked like it was made just for her.

"Are you ready Mrs Greyworth?" Wendy said with her television smile

"Always, Wendy" she smiled gently as if she could see through the utter fakery in the smile equivalent to cheap lipstick

"And we're on in 5...4...3...2..."

"Good day all and welcome to another episode of iSay...today,I have with me the gorgeous Taiwo Greyworth, author of best selling "Karma- Bitch Toh Badt" ...." She turned to T.G "ma'am it is a honour to have you here"

"It is MY pleasure,Wendy" T.G said as if she'd been doing interviews all her life, it seemed so natural for her to be on TV unlike most people Wendy had interviewed...

"okay so my question today is 'Is Cheating acceptable in any situation at all?' " She asked with confidence. Hopefully, this interview would not be as mind boggling as last week's, she'd prepared an easy and straight forward question plus Mrs Taiwo Greyworth had more common sense and I.Q than the douchebag Emery

"Yes" T.G said without hesitation

"Good answer....huh?...wait, cheating is acceptable?" She asked with a confused gasp

"Yes, its the only situation that let's you have your cake and eat it" she chuckled and flicked her fringe sideways "look if you find yourself in a situation like that, the strong ones will avoid it but you don't have to beat yourself up about it"

Wendy could not believe what she was hearing, a large number of women respected and looked up to this lady and here she was blaspheming...she looked at the autocue and decided to ignore the script- she would show her not to blaspheme.

"So if your husband cheats on you, you would be fine with it?" She smiled at what she thought would expose a hint of hypocrisy

"Yeah pretty much,to be honest, these things happen and you'd be a fool to think your guy is different- we'd like to live in the world of our fantasies however we live in a realistic harsh world" she finished her speech with a victorious smile

Wendy looked at her with sophisticated fury even though she was a little confused, she would kill her in her game

"Right so you're saying since it happens,we must expect it and live with it?" She raised her eyebrows

"I'm saying its human nature,it happens and we should not pretend its still an abomination" T.G answered simply

"So tell me Mrs. Greyworth, have you ever cheated on your husband?"

The awkward five second silence that followed that question was priceless, Wendy thought, and so she took her time to bask in the wait for her guest's response with a smile that could light up some heat at the fireplace

"We're not here to talk about me, Miss Lopez" her smile still not wavering "you're not a 13year old gossiper"

She made a mental note to flood one of her toilets after the show, 'this bitch is trying to make a fool outta me??'

She forced a laugh "haha well you seem quite keen on adultery and infidelity, I had to ask. What advice would you give to those out there who are victims of the cheating lover? "

T.G sighed gently deep in thought "I would say hang in there and be happy, Karma got your back" she chuckled and winked at the camera

Ray began to count to the end of the segment

"Thank you for your time, Mrs Greyworth" she looked into the camera "until next time, good night"

"three...two..."

She got up quickly and walked away from the 'set'. The rage soaring inside her would become uncontrollable if she stayed another second with that woman. She went into the Balcony and took a deep breath with her eyes closed. She counted to ten, sighed and held on to the banister, as she opened her eyes and looked down, she recognised Emery's car pulling into the driveway...
