Ignorance..SMH

HEY GUYS

You get to hear from me twice in one go

It's just that i just heard the most insulting thing ever and i feel the need to share it immediately. Someone stumbled on my blog and he said "why you writing a blog?Us black people don't read anymore,man"

Let me explain where his ignorance comes in, 1) my blog ISN'T just for black people 2) black people DO read, he obviously surrounds himself with the ones that don't. Just because he doesn't see it doesn't mean they don't exist

I replied him saying that's a disgraceful thing to say about your race and please feel free to speak for YOURself because i'm a black person that reads AND writes. If you feel like you're and illiterate, don't cast your shadow on the entire race. To defend himself, he said, "that's how it is with us innit, that's why all the poverty and stuff are in our continents" and i laughed hard,ladies and gentlemen and closed the conversation box because as we all know, silence is ALWAYS the best answer for a fool

It's people like him that bring down the race, how do we expect other races to see us anything if we see ourselves as nothing? I guess if he knew how many black people are in a higher institution these days trying to get their Masters degree and Doctorates, he'd shut up and keep his negativity to himself soon enough.

I see that some people need to be updated..in this generation, there are black extraordinaires doing wonders, African intellectuals,researching and bringing something new to the world, Caribbean inventors and athletes- we've started a future that is gonna be a challenge to keep up with.

Please be encouraged, the length of your name and the colour of your skin is NO LONGER an excuse for notbeing the best amongst your peers/colleaggues- not unless you le it be.

Let's try and stop being racist against our ownselves before we expect other races to welcome us with open arms- have faith in your race, no matter what it is.
